Asia Pacific region is accelerating real quickly to the cloud. According to a Microsoft survey done by Springboard Research, countries in Asia Pacific are considering cloud computing for these 3 main reasons: Reducing IT staffing costs, reducing IT infrastructure costs and supporting unpredictable workload.

Among all the countries in Asia Pacific, Australia is the most cloud-literate country, followed by New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia and Philippines.

Regarding the areas that are benefited the most by cloud computing, 57% said that their email systems are the most cloud-leveraged area.
