Privacy and Security in the Cloud
Did you notice that most of the times Facebook changes its policy – especially when it comes to privacy policy – there will always be controversy? That’s actually a natural consequence; the general public concerns with privacy and security in everything online.
In the cloud, that’s also the case. According to the cloud computing infographic commissioned by Microsoft, 90 percent of general public still have concerns about cloud computing, which 20 percent concerns about the cloud security and privacy issues. What’s interesting, the concerns are there despite the fact that 58 percent of general public (and 86 percent of senior business leaders) are actually excited about the cloud.
Indeed, the vulnerability comes from the unknowns, and Microsoft is working to address the concerns via the Office 365 Trust Center. To have a better view on the issues and solution, here’s Microsoft’s Cloud Privacy infographic:
